SDTSIMPORT beta release for ARC/INFO 7.2.1 directory content ------------------------------------------------------------------------- intelnt sdts covertor for intel NT Replace the convsdts file found in the $ARCHOME\bin directory with the new executable. Please copy the old convsdts file and keep it for safekeeping. The beta version of convsdts only supports the raster and point profiles in the SDTSIMPORT command. SDTSEXPORT will remain the same as the original 7.2.1 version. The usage of the SDTSIMPORT command has slightly changed. Here is the new usage: SDTSIMPORT {out_point_cover} {layer_name | raster_object_record_number} {DD | DROP_DD} Arguments - A four character prefix common to all files in the SDTS transfer. The prefix may include a pathname to a directory. If no directory pathname is given, the files in the transfer will be read from the current workspace. - The name of the ARC/INFO data set that will be created. If the input is the TVP, then the output will be a line coverage. The Point Profile will result is a double precision point coverage, while the conversion of a Raster Profile data set will create a new grid. {out_point_cover} - The name of an optional point cover to be created when the Topological Vector Profile is converted. This option is ignored if the SDTS data set is not the TVP. {layer_name | raster_object_record_number} - The name of an aggregated spatial object that represents a single data layer in a transfer or where raster_object_rec_no is the raster object record number in the RSDF module of a Raster Profile data set. There may be multiple layers or raster object record numbers in a single transfer. By default the first layer or number encountered is the only one that will be converted. {DD | DROP_DD} - Used to drop Data Dictionary modules ie; DDDF and DDOM so that coverages that will share the same data dictionary information will not duplicate the same information.
